We are just getting back from our trip on the northwest coast of Madagascar and have so many photos to share about the sailing life: wooden outrigger canoes, dhows, ...

Those boats are usually used for goods transportation ( boards, charcoal, mangrove tree trunks, coconuts, oranges, rice, raffia or Ravenala palms ) between small villages with no road access and biggest towns located at 1, 2 or even 6 days trip.

When they spread their lateen sail or sometimes fore-and-aft rig with jib and mainsail, they are just majestic and amazing ships with a hint of adventure.

After this prodigious life in harmony with Mother Nature, we are back to work and ready to build stunning replicas.
