Nombreux sont ceux qui consid\u00e8rent le <strong>Ticonderoga<\/strong> comme le couronnement de l&rsquo;\u0153uvre de <strong>L. Francis Herreshoff<\/strong>. <br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: larger;\">Francis Herreshoff a con\u00e7u le <strong>ketch de 72 pieds Ticonderoga<\/strong> pour en faire un bateau de jour rapide pour Harry Noyes et sa famille. Mais il l&rsquo;a con\u00e7u avec des lignes fluides sous l&rsquo;eau et une esth\u00e9tique de clipper-yacht \u00e0 couper le souffle au-dessus.   <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: larger;\"><strong>Big Ti<\/strong>, comme on l&rsquo;appelait, a surpris tout le monde par sa vitesse \u00e0 toutes les allures. La course a rapidement pris le devant de la sc\u00e8ne. De nombreux connaisseurs du yachting le consid\u00e8rent comme le plus beau bateau de course au large jamais construit.    <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: larger;\">Depuis son lancement en 1936 sous le nom de Tioga II, il a enregistr\u00e9 plus de victoires dans les courses oc\u00e9aniques, en particulier de premi\u00e8res places, que n&rsquo;importe quel autre yacht de l&rsquo;histoire.<br \/>Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9am\u00e9nag\u00e9 en luxueux bateau de croisi\u00e8re, mais son propri\u00e9taire actuel participe fr\u00e9quemment \u00e0 des courses. Avec   <\/span><span style=\"font-size: larger;\">Endeavour<\/span><span style=\"font-size: larger;\"> et<\/span><span style=\"font-size: larger;\">Shamrock V<\/span><span style=\"font-size: larger;\"><strong>Le Ticonderoga est le plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre des voiliers de course encore en activit\u00e9 aujourd&rsquo;hui<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<h4>Clipper-Bowed 72&prime; Ketch mod\u00e8le original con\u00e7u par Francis L.
