Most commercial modelmakers give you an approximate hull form – pointed at the front, propellers at the back, maybe a bit of bilge radius. Abordage gives you an accurate hull form, that presents the beauty of a ship touching the sea.
I am very pleased with the Indefatigable reverse-waterline model. Its beauty as an object exceeds my expectations. I would consider ordering another like it from you. I would recommend your services to anyone with a desire for quality in your styles of product. I did consider other vendors for this model. None of them rose to your level of promise. What sets you apart, besides pure craftsmanship, is the ability to work with a hull lines drawing (as in, waterline, sheer, and body), and construction techniques that can reflect these accurately. It helped a lot that I have a half-model of your Volvo Ocean 65 Class already – an excellent advertisement! A concern before selecting you was your apparent lack of experience with ships, as opposed to small craft (seriously? “Indefatigable 590”? Although I do get the tongue-in-cheek…). But I think that your abilities plus Denis’ close correspondence with me laid such issues decidedly to rest.
